Description
The Victoria Park Entrance Gates and Railings, dated 1887, feature a pair of cream ashlar sandstone gatepiers. Each gatepier has a base, a frieze—one of which bears the date and the other has the initials VR—a cornice with a central acroteria, and a large ball finial on top. The entrance is flanked by low quadrant walls that have saddleback ashlar coping, which is terminated by piers. The forecourt is paved with setts, and there are iron gates and railings completing the entrance.
