Description
The entrance gate and gate piers at Dukes Lodge, Leslie House, date back to 1671. They feature large ashlar gatepiers that are banded and rusticated, adorned with carved water-fall details, a moulded cornice, and ball finials on waved pediments that are buttressed at the rear. The gatepiers are flanked by crenellated walls that have pointed arch pedestrian gateways. The ornate wrought-iron gates, which are two-leaf and dated 1906, showcase intricate scrollwork, coronets, and acorn branches.
