Description

The entrance gates at Barshaw Park, located on Glasgow Road in Paisley, date from the later 19th century. They are constructed of ashlar stone and feature two pedestrian gates flanked by square banded piers. The piers have roll moulded reveals and shouldered lintels, topped with a cornice and globe finials. There are shorter, similar piers connected by a quadrant wall to the entrances. The gates are accompanied by straight walls on either side. Ornate cast-iron gates serve the pedestrian entrances and the carriage entrance in between, with railings extending a short distance along the walls on either side.
