Description
The Blackhall Aqueduct over the White Cart Water in Paisley is a canal aqueduct designed by engineer Thomas Telford, built between 1806 and 1809. It features a single span of approximately 100 feet, constructed from droved ashlar stone. The aqueduct has a segmental arch at its center, adorned with rusticated voussoirs and an intrados, as well as a vermiculated keystone. The parapets are made of stugged ashlar with dressed copings.
