26 Hunterhill Road, Paisley

26 Hunterhill Road in Paisley is a later 19th century house featuring Thomsonesque details. This two-storey and attic building has an asymmetrical design with four bays and a single-storey extension on the left. The exterior is finished in stugged ashlar, with snecked stonework on the sides, rear, and extension.

The entrance porch is supported by fluted Ionic columns and features a pediment with an acroterion. The double leaf panelled door leads into the house. To the right of the entrance, there are two hoodmoulded sash windows, while the left side has an advanced bay with a two-storey canted window. A cornice runs above the ground floor of this window, and a band course is present above the rest of the building. The first-floor windows and corners are adorned with dwarf pilasters at the upper parts.

At the rear, there is a two-storey canted window and a wallhead stack. The roof is a slate platform style, featuring a slate-hung dormer on the rear. The extension includes a double leaf panelled door with chamfered reveals, surrounded by a piended slate roof with corniced end stacks. The ashlar gatepiers at the entrance are decorated with incised Greek ornament.
