25 Lynedoch Street, Glasgow

25 Lynedoch Street in Glasgow is a house built around 1870, featuring three storeys, attics, and a basement, with four irregular bays. The building showcases Thomsonesque detailing and is constructed of polished ashlar stone, which is channelled at the ground level. A projecting pillared porch over the basement area is supported by Doric-style pillars, which hold up a frieze with consoles and a plain cornice, topped with a low incised block pediment.

All the windows are adorned with simplified pilasters and a decorative incised frieze, with a band course of Greek key detail linking the first-floor windows. The ground floor windows have pilastered reveals and aprons, while the first floor features a consoled cornice. The extreme right bay includes bipartite windows on each floor, designed in a similar style. The windows are sash type with plate glass glazing. There are band courses at the cills of the first and second floors, and the main entablature is decorated with disc mouldings and incised lintels. The building has a modillion cornice and a steeply pitched slate roof with attic lights. Additionally, there are cast-iron railings surrounding the basement and steps.
