Description

Circa 1845 house with basement (No 23); part of 21-27

Lynedoch Street terrace. 3 storeys, attic and basement;

6 bays with 5-bay flank to Lynedoch Terrace. Polished

ashlar, painted at basement. Steps oversailing basement

to Greek Doric porch with full entablature. All windows

architraved; aproned, corniced and consoled at ground;

corniced at 1st floor. Sash windows; 4-pane glazing.

Continuous string course at 2nd floor cills. Main

cornice; blocking course. Axial stacks, slate roof.

Cast-iron railings to basement and steps.

Ground floor windows to Lynedoch Place flank not

consoled, otherwise similarly detailed.

No 23, basement; wide corniced entrance with flanking

fluted pilasters. Piers support decorative cast-iron

arch to basement steps.
