Description

T G Abercrombie, Architect. 1893. Free style. Snecked

stugged ashlar with polished dressings including long and

short quoins. Rectangular plan. Tall single storey hall

running east west with 2 cross windows in west gable hall

and outshot to north. To south projects 2-storey wing

ending in gables wall with 2 single-light windows at ground

and 2 cross windows at 1st floor with central buttress

topped by scroll. To right is lower setion with moulded

round-arched door with small oriel area, and capped by

balustrade. Left of south gable is storey with 2 2-light

windows and carved lettering in frieze and balustrade

over. Slate roof with straight skews and finials to west

and south gables, wide eaved dormer from which low pitch

piended roof descends to cover single storey south-west

corner.
