Prospect House, 2 Corvisel Road, Newton Stewart

Prospect House, located at 2 Corvisel Road in Newton Stewart, is an earlier 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay symmetrical house. It features rubble walling with granite margins, which are painted around the window openings.

At the center, there is a painted brick porch from the later 19th century, flanked by single windows. The first floor has three single light windows, all fitted with modern aluminium-framed sliding sashes and two-pane plate glass glazing.

The house has end skews and coped end stacks topped with octagonal cans, and it is covered with slate roofs. The rear elevation includes a later addition of a symmetrically placed lower two-storey projecting gabled bay, constructed in rubble with granite dressings.

Additionally, there is a stable block with 2-4-12 pane glazing and a garage located in the garden at the rear.
