84 Old Town, Peebles

84 Old Town in Peebles is a 2-storey, 3-bay flatted terraced house dated 1775, with significant alterations, the latest being in 1990. The building features a steeply pitched roof and is harled with painted long and short ashlar margins.

At the center of the ground floor, there is a panelled door topped with a consoled cornice and a datestone reading 1775/1990 above it. To the right of the door are two windows, with additional windows in the outer bays. On the first floor, each bay has a window that breaks the eaves, topped with gabled dormerheads. The gablehead panels feature decorative motifs of a rose, shamrock, and thistle.

The rear elevation is irregular, with a door and window on the ground floor and a small window along with a box dormer on the first floor. The windows are timber sash and case, with a 9-pane design on the ground floor and plate glass on the first floor. The roof is covered with grey slates. The interior was not seen in 1994.
