Lodge, St Andrew's Church, Neidpath Road, Peebles

The lodge at St Andrew's Church on Neidpath Road in Peebles dates from around 1880 and has later extensions. It is a single-storey, four-bay structure serving St Andrew's Cemetery, built from whinstone with red sandstone ashlar dressings. The building features a base course, windows with ashlar mullions and transoms, and chamfered arrises. The eaves are overhanging, revealing exposed rafters, bargeboards, and cross-braces.

On the south (front) elevation, there is a gabled left bay with a window at ground level and a blind square panel in the gable head. To the right, a projecting gabled porch has a shouldered boarded door and a separate semi-circular fanlight. The two right bays are broadly spaced, with windows that just break the eaves and are topped with catslide roofs.

The west (cemetery) elevation features a blank gable to the right with a blind hoodmoulded panel, while a blind bay slightly set back to the left has a catslide roof and double gates attached.

The north elevation is dry-dashed and includes a flat-roofed extension at the center. The east elevation has lined render with a blind panel at the center. The windows are timber sash and case with plate glass. The roof is covered with grey slates and has three corniced ashlar apex stacks, which are polygonal on the east side.

The boundary wall is made of rubble with semi-circular coping to the north, and there are two-leaf boarded gates to the west.
