Description
This building is a late 18th century, very low single-storey and attic, four-bay terraced house located at 51 Old Town, Peebles. The exterior is harled with ashlar margins, and the lintels are hard under the eaves. There is a modern two-leaf door positioned in the centre left bay, with windows in the remaining bays, which are taller on the right side. A gabled timber dormer is situated in the centre right bay, and there is a small cast-iron skylight to the left.
At the rear, there is a large gabled dormer. The windows are plate glass timber sash and case, with a four-pane design in the dormer. The house features a tall, steeply pitched roof covered with terracotta tiles, and there is a coped harled stack located between the right bays. The interior was unseen as of 1992.
