Description
19 Hill Street in Irvine is an early 19th-century terraced house that has undergone some later alterations. It is a two-storey building with three bays, featuring a basement and an attic, and is situated on sloping ground. The exterior is harled with painted dressings, and it includes a base course, quoin strips, and a moulded cornice.
On the left side, there is a round-arched doorpiece with a keystone, leading to a panelled door that has a three-pane and sunburst fanlight above it. The basement openings are boarded on the centre and left, while the centre bay has a window on each floor above, and each of the outer right bays features bipartite windows. Above, there is a swept box dormer that abuts the stone gablehead.
The windows are timber sash and case style, with small-pane upper sashes and plate glass lower sashes. The roof is covered with graded grey slate, and there is a broad gablehead stack.
