Description

20 Hill Street in Irvine is a house dating from the earlier to mid 19th century. It is a single storey and attic structure with three bays, situated on sloping ground. The exterior is rendered with a painted base course and features architraved openings, quoin strips, and a cornice. The central door is closely flanked by windows, and above, there are two canted dormers with slate hanging and piend roofs. The rear elevation has been substantially altered. The windows are timber 4-pane sash and case, while the dormers have plate glass. The roof is covered with grey slates, and the house has coped skews with block skewputts.
