Description
117-119 High Street in Irvine is an earlier 19th century, two-storey, two-bay tenement building with a shop on the ground floor. The exterior features channelled ashlar masonry and architraved window surrounds. Above the modern shopfront, there is a cornice. The first floor has two windows, supported by ashlar brackets beneath a deep cornice. At the center, there is a large wallhead stone and slate-hung canted half-pitched dormer.
At the rear, there is a large gabled brick addition. This addition includes a canted, piend-roofed dormer and a cast-iron rooflight. The building has plate glass, timber sash and case windows, and is covered with grey slates.
