Description
95-97 High Street in Irvine is an earlier 19th-century tenement building that incorporates some earlier materials. It is a three-storey, three-bay structure with a shop on the ground floor. The exterior is finished in painted ashlar and features architraved surrounds, strip pilasters, an eaves band, a cornice, and a blocking course. The modern shopfront is located at ground level, while the first-floor windows are corniced and have aprons. There are also two later piend-roofed dormers on the upper floors.
At the rear, there is a substantial extension. The building has plate glass glazing in timber sash and case windows, and it is topped with grey slates.
