Description
61-63 High Street in Irvine is an early 19th-century, two-storey, two-bay tenement that features a shop on the ground floor. The building is rendered and has a lined appearance resembling ashlar at the ground level, with a band course above. On the ground floor, there is a square shop window on the left, flanked on the right by the shop door and a lower tenement door at the outer right. The first floor has two windows, while the second floor features slightly smaller windows. The gable of a taller neighbouring property to the right slightly oversteps the quoin of this building.
At the rear, the roof slopes down and is slate-hung, with a flat-roofed dormer. The windows are timber sash and case with small-pane glazing. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there is a brick mutual stack.
