Description
148 High Street in Irvine is a late 18th century, two-storey, two-bay tenement building that features a shop on the ground floor. The structure is made of whinstone rubble, with rendered ashlar on the front. It has a deep base course and an eaves band. The tenement door is located to the right, while the centre and left sections have a tripartite shopfront with a recessed door. The windows above are regularly spaced, with smaller windows on the second floor.
The building has modern glazing and is topped with grey slates. It features two slate-hung canted dormers that have timber 12-pane glazing. The roof has ashlar coped skews and broad brick gablehead stacks.
