Description
The Crown Inn is a late 18th century, three-storey tenement building with a public house on the ground floor, located at 162 High Street in Irvine. The exterior is rendered, with the ground floor harled. There is a door on the right side and small windows flanking to the left and far left at the ground level. The first floor features three windows, with the central window being smaller. On the second floor, two windows break the eaves within square dormerheads.
The windows are timber sash and case, fitted with either plate glass or four-pane glazing. The roof is covered with graded grey slates, and there is a gablehead stack.
The interior was not seen during the last inspection in 1996.
