18 Eglinton Street, Irvine

16 Eglinton Street in Irvine is an early 19th-century terraced group of two-storey tenements, featuring later rebuilds to the outer bays. The building is arranged in a 2-3-2 bay configuration, with the lower bays positioned at the center. It is constructed of rendered stone with painted dressings and a base course. The central bays have paired, pilastered and corniced doorpieces located in the center and to the right, with deep-set panelled doors and block pediments. Above these doors are windows, with the central window being blinded, and there is a window on each floor of the bay to the left.

The taller outer bays each have windows on the first floor, with a door and a door with a window at ground level in the bays to the left, and two windows in the bays to the right, which are flanked on the outer right by a single-storey entrance. The windows are either timber sash and case or modern windows designed to resemble sash and case. No. 18 features piend-roofed dormers, while No. 16 has rooflights. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are stone-coped skews and gablehead stacks.
