Description
153-155 High Street in Irvine is a late 18th century, three-storey, three-bay tenement building with a shop on the ground floor, where the bays are grouped to the left. The building is constructed of painted ashlar and features an eaves course, cornice, and blocking course. To the outer right, there is a round-arched door with a keystone, a semicircular fanlight, and moulded impost blocks leading to the tenement. The left side has a modern shop front. The upper floors have regular fenestration with plate glass glazing in timber sash and case windows. There are also modern Velux rooflights. The roof is covered with grey slates, has raised skew, and the stack has been removed.
