Description
Roadside Cottage, located at the Arran Heritage Museum in Rosaburn, Brodick, is an early 19th century single-storey, rectangular-plan detached cottage. The exterior features white painted rubble with ashlar quoins and a slate roof, complemented by coped end stacks.
On the front elevation, there is a centrally placed two-leaf boarded door with a four-pane window to the right and two rooflights. The rear elevation includes a boarded door to the right and an eight-pane window to the left, along with another rooflight.
Inside, the partitions have been removed, revealing a chimneypiece with ashlar cheeks and a lintel, as well as a sway.
