Cottage, Arran Heritage Museum, Rosaburn, Brodick

The cottage at Arran Heritage Museum in Rosaburn, Brodick, is an early 19th century single-storey, rectangular-plan, detached building with several lean-to additions. It features white painted rubble with ashlar quoins, a piended dormer, and a box dormer.

On the front elevation, there is a lean-to porch at the center with a door on the left return. To the right, there is a door and two windows, while the left side has two windows and one blocked window. A harled wallhead stack rises through the eaves, and there is a box dormer. The left return gable includes a French window and a dormer, while the right return gable has a coped wallhead stack also rising through the eaves.

The rear elevation features a wrap-around lean-to at the left angle and another lean-to on the right, with various doors and windows.

Inside, part of the cottage is furnished as a 19th century croft house.
