Description
Kintore Cottage is an earlier 19th century building located on Mackenzie Avenue in Auchenblae. It is a single storey with an attic. The cottage features two distinct sections: the first section has one door and one window, while the second section has two windows and a central door, all accented by rusticated quoins at the corners. The door of the second section has a blocked architrave with a keyblock, and the windows in the first section have margined raised cills. There are two canted dormers in the second section, and the ground floor and attic windows are located in the north-west gable, with two additional windows in the south-east gable. The cottage has rear outshots and retains original 12-pane sash windows on the ground floor, while the dormers have 4-pane sashes. The roof is slated with straight skews and features end and mutual stacks. Additionally, there is a rubble garden wall on the north side.
