Former School, Arran Heritage Museum, Rosaburn, Brodick

The former school at Arran Heritage Museum in Rosaburn, Brodick, dates back to 1777. It is a single-storey building with a rectangular plan that has been converted into a garage, and it is adjacent to Rosaburn House and the Smiddy. The exterior features white painted rubble and a slate roof with ashlar-coped skew.

On the front elevation, there is a boarded door to the right, three rooflights, and paired boarded garage doors at the left return gable. The rear elevation has a single window on the left, with the Smiddy extending to the right. Inside, there is a large room, which includes a smaller room that has been incorporated into the tearoom of Rosaburn House.

Additionally, there is a Standard K6 telephone kiosk designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott from 1935, which has been relocated here as an exhibit.
