Description
South Gates at Brodick Castle Estate date from the early 20th century. They consist of a pair of carriage gates hung from square piers, with a kissing gate to the east. The piers are made of hammer-dressed pink sandstone and feature flat chamfered copes. The cast iron gates have straight uprights and a scrolled central floral motif. In the center, there are black metal and gilded heraldic shields with the inscriptions 'THROUGH' and 'NE OUBLIE'. To the right, there is a wrought iron barred kissing gate suspended from an iron column.
