Description

Black Lion Gate, located in Kensington Gardens, is a pair of cast-iron carriage gates dating from 1862. The gates consist of two leaves that are hung from open-work iron piers. They feature full-height bars topped with spear-head finials. The piers are adorned with a royal monogram, the date, and a star of the Order of the Garter.
