Description

Dated 1898, this drinking fountain and trough are located at Rosa Bridge, Brodick, on the Isle of Arran. Constructed of red sandstone, the front face is stugged and snecked, with rubble to the rear, and features ashlar dressings and copes. The design incorporates a piscina-type drinking fountain, sheltered by a dated canopy. A trough is fed by a natural spring.
