Description
Hollinknoll Gates and Gate Piers are a pair of gate piers and gates dating from the 18th century and early 20th century. They are made of gritstone and wrought iron. The square rusticated stone piers stand six feet high and feature a moulded cornice topped with ball finials. The 20th-century wrought iron gates consist of four vertical bars topped with dartheads, arranged in a sloping curve at the top. Below the dartheads, the gates are tied with circles, and at the base, there is a grid of multiple vertical bars tied by diagonal bars with a central circle. These gates and piers are included for their group value.
