Description
The Vicarage is a vicarage built around 1840, constructed from gritstone ashlar with a slate roof. It features stone gabled end and ridge stacks that have chamfered sides and moulded bands, along with stone coped gables topped with ridge finials. The building is two storeys high with a three-bay south elevation. The central bay is slightly advanced and has a canted, castellated bay window. The windows on the sides are mullion and transomed, and there are double glazed doors at the front. A moulded stringcourse runs above the windows, just below the parapet. To the west, there is a plain sash window in a chamfered surround, while to the east, there is a chamfered opening with double plain sashes. On the upper level, there is a central chamfered three-light mullioned window with margin light casements, flanked by two similar two-light windows. Above the central window in the gable, there is a niche with a cusped head. The building is included for its group value.
