Description
26-28 Hill Street is an early 19th century, two-storey, three-bay house that has been converted into a bakery. It is situated on sloping ground and constructed from stugged, coursed stone that has been painted, with painted ashlar margins. The building features an eaves band and a fine cornice. The central entrance is a pilastered and corniced door, with a window directly above it. To the right, there is a flanking bay with a door at ground level and a window above. The left bay has a blocked window at ground level and a window above, with later smaller windows inserted between this bay and the central bay on both floors.
The windows are 12-pane timber sash and case style. The roof is covered with grey slates, and it has coped skews and stone gablehead stacks.
