Description
The Old Bakehouse is a house that was formerly a bakehouse, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and brick, topped with a pantile roof. The building features two brick gable stacks and flush stone quoins, along with a plinth. It has two storeys plus an attic and an irregular three-bay front. The off-centre doorway has a six-panel door with an overlight. To the right of the doorway is a blocked entrance and a two-light casement window, while to the left there is another two-light casement. Above these, there are two single light glazing bar casements, and above that, a small gabled brick dormer. Attached to the left is a very narrow single bay extension that includes a tiny fixed light, and above it is a small 19th-century brick dormer with a two-light glazing bar sliding sash.
