This late 19th century asymmetrical villa is set in a large garden and features an iron-railed boundary wall. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. It has a gabled design with an open and parapetted timber loggia in the left bay. Above this, there is a French-windowed opening on the first floor, topped with a gabled dormer that opens onto the roof. The inner bay is also gabled and includes a wide depressed-arched doorway. To the right, there is a two-storey canted bay that curves outward to a square shape at the eaves, with the main roof extending over it. The exterior is made of rubble with contrasting rendered dressings that imitate red ashlar. Most of the original glazing consists of sash windows. There is a projecting ground floor window on the left side that faces Matheson Road, along with a rear wing. The villa features corniced end stacks and slate roofs with red ridging tiles. The boundary walls are topped with decorative cast-iron railings, and there is an original front gate along with double gates leading to the driveway on the right.
