Description

Late 19th century large house (or alternatively a double villa or a tenement) with symmetrical front and iron-railed garden; 2 storeys with attic; 5 (2 + 1 + 2) bays; harled, with rendered margins, sash windows, slate roof. Gabled; deep on plan. Centre doorway with deep canopied painted ashlar hood, blind at 1st floor above, 2 bays either side with narrow single lights to inner bays, bipartites in outer bays with recessed mullions; gabled dormers over outer bays are also bipartite and may be original, with pedimented gables and finials; skylights; end stacks. Front/side garden enclosed by low wall topped by decorative cast-iron railings; original cast-iron gate also survives.
