Description
31 Lewis Street in Stornoway is a mid-19th century double villa, though it may be slightly more recent. The building has a flat front and is symmetrical, featuring two storeys and modern narrow gabled attic dormers with updated glazing. It consists of four bays, with two inner doorways and windows above that are slightly narrower than those in the outer bays. The structure is built from rubble with squared dressings, and the gable and end stacks are harled. It has a slate roof and small front gardens enclosed by low walls topped with cast-iron railings. A single cast-iron front gate also remains on the house to the right.
