Description
67 Keith Street is a large, two-storey house with an attic, built probably in the late 18th to early 19th century. It has a rectangular plan and features a prominent entrance on the west side, which includes a pedimented and pilastered doorpiece. The house is harled with stone margins and cills and is located on a prominent corner site of a main street in Stornoway.
The entrance elevation is symmetrical, with a central door and windows on either side, along with regular fenestration on the first floor. Above, there are three well-placed piended dormer windows. The south elevation, facing Scotland Street, has two windows on each floor and a prominent gablehead stack.
The glazing throughout has been replaced, and the roof is covered with grey slates. The chimney stacks are coped and harled, with some having chimney cans.
The property is enclosed by a low coped and harled boundary wall, which features decorative cast iron railings inset on the south side.
