88-90 Dundas Street, Stromness

88-90 Dundas Street is a late 18th to early 19th century, two-storey, three-bay symmetrical house that forms part of a terrace. The ground floor is harled, while the first floor features roughly coursed rubble with cement margins around the openings. There is a band course between the ground and first floors, and a consolled eaves course with consoles flanking the first-floor windows.

On the west elevation, there are two-leaf timber panelled storm doors with a rectangular fanlight above, leading to a deep-set timber panelled door with another rectangular fanlight behind it, located in the central bay. Each bay has a window on both floors. The windows are 12-paned timber sash and case style. The roof has a flush rooflight on the west pitch, is covered with Caithness slate, and features a stone ridge. The skews have been replaced with concrete, and there is a common harled, coped multi-flue ridge stack to the north, while the south has a rubble stack with a replaced cement cope. The property also has uPVC rainwater goods.
