Description
Skinnet Farm is a house built in the later 18th century. It faces east and features a symmetrical design with two storeys and three bays, flanked by single-storey, two-bay wings. The exterior is finished in harled rubble. The central bay is slightly advanced and has a pediment, along with a small attic window and a central door. The outer bays of the wings are also slightly advanced and pedimented, with a later lean-to structure against the south gable.
The symmetrical rear elevation has a full-width catslide roof, a central stair window positioned just below the wallhead, and small piended dormers in the outer bays. The windows predominantly feature 12-pane glazing, and there are corniced end stacks, which have been renewed on the south side. The roof is covered with Caithness slate. Additionally, there is a low, roughly coped, rubble garden wall surrounding the property.
