Description

Earlier to mid 19th century with later alterations and additions. 2-storey, 3-bay rectangular-plan symmetrical house with single storey lean-to addition spanning bays to right at rear, adjoining gable-ended house to N (see Notes). Harled with cement margins to openings; 1st floor windows set close under eaves.

E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: deep-set architraved modern timber door at ground in bay to centre; boot-scrape recess to left; raised ashlar star panel above; window at 1st floor. Window at each floor in each bay flanking.

W (REAR) ELEVATION: lean-to addition at ground in bays to right; window at 1st floor to centre above. Stair window to outer left.

S (SIDE) ELEVATION: window at each floor in gabled bay to right; gablehead stack above. Modern door with window to left in lean-to addition to outer left.

12-pane timber sash and case windows. Caithness slate roof; stone ridge; asbestos to addition; cement skews; extended harled gablehead stack to S; tall gablehead stack to N; uPVC rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: architraved timber panelled doors; timber skirting boards; decorative wrought-iron banisters; timber handrail.
