Description
20 Bayhead in Stornoway, Lewis, is likely an early 19th-century building that has been modernized since the last survey in 1989. It stands two storeys tall with a modern attic dormer and features a long front elevation. The outer bays are regular, but the area between them is irregular, with a door and window at ground level and a single window on the first floor. There is a deep space between the first-floor window lintels and the eaves, which is an uncommon feature in the Outer Isles. The exterior is dry dashed with painted ashlar margins and has a modern glazing pattern. The roof is slate, and there are chimney stacks at the ends. A lean-to structure is present on the left gable.
