Description
88 Main Street in Isle of Whithorn is an early 19th-century house that stands two stories high with an attic. The building features three bays and is constructed of rubble, with modern dormer alterations. The exterior is painted rubble with raised painted margins and chamfered arrises. There is a central doorway with a modern door. All the windows are single light, fitted with modern two-pane plate glass, and have a narrow pivoted top pane.
The house has end skews and tall coped end stacks that have been largely rebuilt and rendered, complete with thackstanes. The roofs are slate, and there is a large tile-hung box dormer. The flank of the building is harled, and at the rear, there is another large box dormer.
