78 Main Street, Isle Of Whithorn

This building at 76 Main Street in Isle of Whithorn consists of a pair of late 18th century, two-storey, two-bay houses. The exterior is smoothly rendered with raised painted margins, while No 76 features raised angle margins and a basecourse.

Both houses have paired doorways with recessed modern doors. The windows are single light, sash and case style, with No 76 having 12-pane glazing and No 78 featuring plate glass with 2-pane glazing.

No 76 includes skews and a coped stack on the left side, and both houses have well-maintained graded slate roofs. No 78 has a stack on the right side, also covered with slate roofs.
