Description
Well House in Duffus is a house built around 1800 to 1815. It is a two-storey, symmetrical, three-bay structure facing south, with later single-storey wings set back at the east and west gables. A single-storey wing, added in 1986, projects south from the east wing. The main house is harled with ashlar margins, and the flanking wings are also set back.
The house features a central door and mainly 12-pane glazing, along with a small gable attic light. It has a deep moulded eaves cornice that returns a short distance to the gable and flat skews with run-off skewputts. The main house has coped and panelled end stacks, while the wings have simple coped end stacks. The roofs are slate with stone ridges.
