Description
The Old Manse in Duffus is a plain two-storey, three-bay house built in 1736, facing south. The building has crowstepped gables and features several additions from the 1940s, 1950s, and 1980s that extend eastward, creating an L-shaped plan. The main structure is constructed of rubble with tooled ashlar dressings. The original house has a central door and symmetrical window arrangement. An eastern wing with gabled and crowstepped features was added in two stages, in 1948 and between 1952 and 1953. There is also a single-storey south projection with four windows added in 1980. The windows have four-pane glazing, and the building has coped end stacks and a slate roof.
