Description
Greenbrae Cottage in Hopeman dates from around 1860 and is a single storey and attic cottage with a south-facing three-bay design. The front is made of tooled and polished ashlar, while the sides are constructed from rubble. The central bay is slightly advanced and features a pediment above the doorway. The flanking windows have eight-pane glazing, and there are small canted dormers in the outer bays, which may have been added later. The cottage has a deep eaves band and a moulded eaves cornice, along with corniced stacks at each end and a slate roof. There is a later single storey lean-to addition at the west gable. The front garden is enclosed by a coped rubble garden wall.
