Description
Bridge Cottage, located on Bridge Street in Fordyce Village, dates from the early to mid-19th century. This single-storey, three-bay cottage features a raised basement at the rear. The exterior is constructed from rubble with tooled ashlar and rubble dressings, showcasing contrasting painted joints on the front. The central entrance is flanked by windows, while the rear includes a centrally placed raised ground floor window and two basement windows, along with a gable window and a basement door. There is a later lean-to addition on the west gable. The windows have 4- and 12-pane glazing, and the cottage is topped with a slate roof and has coped end stacks.
