Description
Clifton Cottage is a single-storey cottage dating from around 1830, built over a raised basement on sloping ground. It features a canted north gable and is constructed of rubble with tooled rubble dressings. The entrance is recessed and accessed by steps, with a raised ground floor window in the canted gable and smaller windows on each of the three faces of the raised basement. The windows primarily have 4-pane glazing. The cottage has coped wallhead stacks and a shallow piended platform slate roof with projecting eaves.
