Description
27 Crovie is a cottage built in the early to mid-19th century. It has two storeys and an attic, with a raised ground floor over a basement that is built into the side of a hill. The cottage features three bays and is constructed of rubble with contrasting painted joints and reveals on the front.
The central entrance has a double-leaf plank door and is accessed by a flight of steps. There is an off-centre basement entrance, which also has a double-leaf plank door and a window on either side. A single window is located in the seaward gable of the raised ground floor. To the left, there is a later substantial gabled bipartite dormer, and the windows mainly have 2-pane glazing. The cottage has coped end stacks and a slate roof that includes a loft roof light.
