Description
21 Crovie is a later 18th century single-storey cottage with a dormerless attic and a later single-storey extension attached to the south gable. The building is constructed from whitewashed rubble with boulder footings and features contrasting painted margins. The central entrance is obscured by a later timber porch, with two windows on either side. The seaward gable has two small ground floor windows and two first floor windows, all with modern plate glass glazing, creating a regular pattern. Only the left-hand ground floor window is original; the other three were added later. The cottage has end stacks that were renewed in the 19th century and is topped with pantile roofs. There is a store at the south gable with a doorway, which is accessed by a flight of steps leading to a hillside garden plot.
