Description
The Masonic Hall on Granary Street in Burghead was built between 1840 and 1850. It is a two-storey building with a regular five-bay façade facing west. The exterior features harl pointed rubble with ashlar margins and dressings. The central entrance has a keystoned and rendered surround with a panelled door.
The ground floor windows are slightly longer than those on the first floor, which are located only in the outer and central bays. These windows are connected by a deep lintel or band course. The building also has channelled ashlar quoins and coped panelled end stacks. The roof is slate with a stone ridge.
